I presently have several websites hosted on iPower.com. However, I say that only to point out that they have a feature on their control panel that may or may not be available with other web hosting companies. This feature allows the webmaster to register a site with more than 50 search engines. Having said that, after registering my first site with every one I could, it was interesting to see my email inbox flooded with newsletters and offers from other web service companies. A lot of the newsletters pertain to SEO, website monitoring, website design, tips and tricks, etc., and have proven to be very interesting reading. There is still a lot of junk, however. I suppose that once your site is up and running and you've registered with the search engines, you can expect the "learning process" or "information overload" to begin. One thing I did notice was that everytime I registered a new site, I received duplicate mailings; so you might want to unsubscribe from the dupes and just keep subscriptions to the newsletters that interest you.
