LOGO REQUEST
Do you own The Logo Creator? I just purchased the entertainment edition of TLC but am having problems installing so hopefully after I get answers to my questions on that from another thread Ill have it up and running.
Type of design: Logo
Summary: I am a talent coordinator/ casting coordinator. I cast models and actors for TV, Film, Commercials, or Print work. I have been doing this for 5 years and everyone has just passed my info on by word of mouth but now i would like to make business cards and possibly a website advertising my services. My co name is JStockel Casting.
Full requirements: I would like it to have a hollywood feel. This one can be fun or serious. I havnt solidified want I want, i think i'll know when i see it.
Company Name: JStockel Casting
Desired tagline: not sure, i guess once i can install TLC i can change that later right?
Color scheme: no preference
Desired style: flashy or professional . Eye catching. something that could work for everything from business cards to invoices...
Notes to designers: I am completely new to this so if someone could send me rates I would appreciate a heads up on what to expect cost wise... Im on a really tight budget so any free ideas welcome too!

I LOVE the tagline! I dont like shakespear. Maybe make it more eye catching and fun? Possibly colors or spotlights or stars or something? Possibly make the name more bold?
Is that too critical?
THANKS SO MUCH for the logo sample though! I appreciate creativity!

it could possibly even play with the letter JSC as the logo?
just an idea!

Nothing is beyond making it the way you want it to be made, But tell you what, Im tired tonight...But tomorrow evening when I get home from work, I will definately work on some other ideas with your changes your requesting, This way it will hopefully give time for other designers to maybe come up with a presentation of their own for submission. At least its a start to something hopefully wonderful as well as useful....right?...See you tomorrow...G' Nite!
To Other Designers....Tagline is: Casting tomorrows stars...Today!

Turns out "Tomorrow's Stars Today" is a slogan of a pretty big childrens talent agency. So i dont want to be that similar :( I know I can chang the tagline but i thought maybe that would open it up for more moments of genius on the tagline! Also, i think i love the JSC but i need the words jstockel in there somewhere and since i move alot not address in the logo. I cast all over the US though mostly in texas

actually, i dont HAVE to have jstockel in there... im changing my mind!

I also love the one by cybrnetico with the purple and yellow if it were maybe green adn pink and my email address as the tag line? Im just not sure about blue and yellow and puple and yellow. maybe something else. doesnt have to be pink and green is they look bad together. Right now my letter head is sage and dusty rose but it may be too subtle for a logo and I can accept that!

It helps to hit the quote button or reference the post # when suggesting changes. Both can be found on the right of the screen.

Hi, here is my approach. I'm not using your e-mail because I thougth that if your are going to make your business cards then your logo doesn't need to carry the e-mail... at least is what I think.

Edited by Digger ------ Costs cannot be discussed on an open forum. If you wish to help out, please feel free to submit some samples. We'd love to see what you have to offer.

Some questions for everyone:
Do i need TLC to buy any of these? Im still not getting answers on how to install it so i've puchased it and its downloaded but i cant install it...
Is it uncouth to purchase more than one logo design?
Randy...
27th April 2007, 10:11 AM
Most of the designers can provide about any format you'd like. You can purchase as many as you'd like.
About your download - have you ever downloaded files before that used zip files? It does take some knowledge on your end.
JSCasting
27th April 2007, 10:20 AM
Yeah, my computer does its own decompressing of .zip files but this file is a .sit file and my computer has nothing to open it with. Ive even downloaded maczip to unzip it and that program downloaded as a .sit program!!
I have no clue what to do now and tech support will NOT get back to me doso im thinking it was just money lost.

Tech support - as in Laughinbird support? This isn't really a problem with the product. Although, I think we've tried several times to help you out.

Thanks Whippetgirl -- have you ever tried to use a free site like Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com). You can load your images there and insert the image here for viewing. Or, you could reduce the size of your file and upload it here in the image manager. Hope to see your sampler.

As Digger has told you, you don't need to have it, but if you can finally install it :o) you can receive a TLC file as long as other type of files you might require.
I'm able to render almost every kind of file (if you choose mine) Which I guess is more important is where your graphic is gonna end, so if you don't know we can suggest the best option (web, print, pdf, ppt, etc)

We would prefer for those that ask for assitance on the main board, that those submitting would help out on the main board. There are some here that visit that will see work completed by a designer and contact them offline, which is perfectly acceptable.

As my esteemed friend as just stated we can make them into any format that
you desire
and should you get your TLC sorted out then you can transfer any one in to it and alter what you wish
looking forward to seeing which ones you like:image28: :image28:
