Hi.. I sent this to both Marc's email address and then PM'd him here on 12/21. I know the holidays have thrown us all off, but I'd really appreciate knowing if registration code recovery is possible.

Subject: Recreate registration key?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the text of email message I sent 2 days ago. Just discovered the forums and thought I'd send it here as well to make sure you got it. Thanks in advance!

Hi Marc… I decided it was time to update my website and wanted to go away from my css banner and really make a logo. Looking around, I found your current version of LogoCreator.

I had originally purchased v3.6 for $59.95 on January 22, 2003 with credit card ending with *****. My email at the time was touchpoint@attbi.com. (now touchpoint@comcast.net)

I was able to find the date through my quicken program and was even able to locate the email and last 5 digits of the credit card I was using almost 4 years ago. Unfortunately, what I can't locate is the original invoice, either in my email files or as a hardcopy with my business records for 2003 (and if you saw the weird stuff that IS in there, you'd be as surprised as I am!).

I was able to use the digital river page and redownloaded version 3.6. However, I still don't have the registration code so it doesn't help me at all.

At any rate, I was wondering if there was any possibility at all of your having a copy of my registration code. I'd appreciate your letting me know one way or the other. If it is possible.... can I just put that into the version 5 version?

Thanks for your help. Regards and Happy Holidays!

From when I had to look up my order on http://www.thelogocreator.com/orderlookup.htm (because my harddrive died )my order the key was part of the information held on the download page. There should be a 8 digit/letters keycode.

I doublechecked, but there is nothing on the downloads page except the order number, which is 8 digits, but I believe that is a Digital River number. I also went into the DR faq which also suggested the registration number should be part of their info, but again, no luck.

Thanks for trying, though.

Well, I love the software, but I am VERY disappointed that in a month I could get no resolution or even a response saying it was not possible. I tried email, pm and this thread and nothing. Guess I won't be using it afterall since I have already paid $60 for it and am not willing to repurchase since the site clearly says you only have to pay once.

Hi Touch!

I'm sorry to hear this.
I had eMailed you a week ago.

That long key is a free one month subscription key to PhotoObjects.net
(http://www.webgraphicscreator.com/PhotoObjects.html )

It comes free with each purchase of The Web Graphics Creator.

I have PM'd the key you need for The Art Center!

Let me know if this helps.

I, too, have sent numerrous emails and left 3 voicemails inquiring about the printing procedures, as I am not as technical as most of your users. How do I print from the Logo Creator and please email me at kenstoughton @ yahoo.com .
Thanks.

Hi Ken.

To print your logo from The Logo Creator, you can choose "Print" from the File menu. This will print your logo in the center of an 8.5X11 sheet of paper.

The best thing to do, however, is to export your logo as a Jpeg or "TIF" file. Then, bring it into Word or whatever other program you use that you want to print with. This will give you much more flexibility.

Hope this helps a bit!

Thank you, Marc. I must have overlooked the print option and will try again. I really enjoy your software as we just started our own business and will be using your software to develop our logo.

Just wanted to say thanks Marc. Although I never got the email, I did get the pm and I purchased the update to 5.0 the same morning. This product is awesome and I appreciate the attention to my dilemma.

A question for the future: Once I update the file with 5.0 registation key. if I move computers will I need to dl 3.6 first and input old key, then replace with the update file and new key? Or do I just install the 5.0-update zip? I want to make sure I write down the right process & key for the future... :)

Thanks!
