View Full Version : Another non-profit request

In our spare time from working full time, my sister and I run a non-profit (WAY non-profit!) rescue center for horses with medically related hoof problems. We treat 8-10 horses at a time at our home. Some are old horses with Cushings disease and related metabolic disorders similar to Type II diabetes. Special diet, lots of vitamins, and daily medication keeps them comfortable and healthy to live our their lives (instead of the not-so-fun alternatives like being served for dinner in Japan.)

Recently we have also begun working with younger horses in need of surgical correction of leg deformities. If you visit our website, www.founder-rehab.com, you will see the amazing story of Hobbs / Sundance. Cute little guy was ready to go off to his great demise and now, after care, he's perfect.

Anyway, we have borrowed graphics for our website, but now are ready to begin some more active fundrasiing and advertising and need a logo. I envision something with a symbolic horse or hoof, maybe a combo of the two. Our official name is The Founder Rehabilitation Ranch, and we live in the foothills of Mt. Diablo in Northern California (picture rolling hills.) The logo will be used in business forms, on our website, etc. Maybe even a sticker for the side our our horse trailer and truck!

I don't have the software yet... was thinking of getting it, but I'm open to it if I can get the design!

Thanks!!!

Here is a option. Didn't have much luck with a hoof.
Let me know.

Could you try a font that is less "flowery" ?? So hard to explain :) I like the flowing style, but maybe a bit more modern??

Thanks for your ideas!

Hi!

Here are my two cents, the colors matches with your website. From here I just need your feedback :o)

Keep helping them.

The only thing I'd modify is to have the different color on "rehabilitation" be on REHAB and not just RE.

Looks awesome!!

What's your "professional" opinion of the changed one? I think I like the original better

Ok, my initial concept was to stand out "habilitation" and the first two letter of your company name to balance the colors.

Now, I don't know the meaning of "rehab" and I'm not sure if everybody can read what you want to say standing out this part of your name. It is just a short way to say the same?

In any case, which is important is to think (you) what you want to communicate and we can find the way to say it. That's what all this is about.

We can make slight changes, having this layout as a main part or your logo.

Rehabilitation means to "bring back to original state" or in our case to help the horse back to a healthy life. Rehab is just short for rehabilitation.

My sister doesn't like using the whole word anyway, can you do one with just "REHAB" instead of the long word? Then maybe the single letter in a separate color will work.

I decided, to stand "rehab" now a bit also in size. I am not sure about something. In spanish, which is my mother tongue, we used a dot (.) when the word is a short version of a big one, for instance: Compaņia = Cia.

With "rehab" is the same, I am missing a dot?
