View Full Version : Circular Text Tools

Hello,
How do I make the circular radius tool go beyond its max setting?
I need my (entire) text to "arch" up instead of downwards.
I can use the radius tool just fine, as long as I'm arching the circular text downwards.
Thanks

Hello,

To make your text arch up, press return/enter before the line you want to curve upwards.

Hello BlueJay,

I tried what you recommended...the arch direction improved, but is not quite enough of an arch to match my text requirement.
When I pressed "enter" the text in the text dialogue box moved down and the arch direction changed. I needed to tweak the text just a tad bit more to match the circle on my logo, so I tried pressing the "enter" key two times instead of just once---thinking that if one press of enter made the direction of arch change, then one more click would bring the arch to where I needed it to be.

However, when I press enter twice, the text disappears from the project box entirely. Even when I maximize screen, the subject text is no longer visible.

I guess my question is, How do I further change the text arch , to allow me me to adjust the arched text to my project...moreso than clicking enter just once?
I'm confusing my self here... I sympthasize with you :-)
Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,

Have you experimented with the Circle Radius setting? It sounds like it will do the job you need.

Hi Lat,
Yes I have...but when I move the dial on the circle radius tool to the right-as far as it will go...its not enough to bring the arch of the text "up" to where I need it to be.
Screen Shot attached.
I appreciate your help!
Great software...lots of fun.

Ahh, I see your problem.

How about a work-a-round, I just tried a long piece of text and broke it up into several blocks of 2 words each.

With each of those blocks, I set them to be rotatable using small increments on each block, and then manually placing them together.

A little bit of extra work, but you'll get the result you're looking for.

Hi Dan,

We'll be posting an update in the near future and will include the ability to enter values greater than the slider will allow. Aiming for early next week.

Kind Regards,

bluejade

Thanks BlueJade, Lats.
You guys are great!
This software is absolutely the best I've seen.
The logo I attached was my first effort...Most software company's say---use our software and create _____ in minutes. Of course we all know they're fibbing...but Its really true with LogoCreator.
Thanks
Dan
