Need feedback and assistance

I would like to get some feedback on my first shot at designing my logo. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated. Also, I am having difficulty getting rid of all the white background on the image of the adobe building. This prevents me from using a colored canvas without having small bits and pieces showing up.

The shadow effect of the words needs a bit of tweaking, it is not in perspective right now.

How about a cactus in there somewhere too? or is that just too cliche?

I realized the text below needed some adjustment after I submitted my posting. Since then I adjusted the size of the letterst and removed the reverse text. Also, you suggestion about a small cactus sounds good to me. I thought about it at first, but felt it may be an overkill. Guess I'll look for a suitable piece of clip art and insert a small cacutus next to the building.

I've also uploaded a new logo with the adjustments I've alread made.

you can get rid of the white background on the photo you used by using PhotoShop and making the background the same color as the canvas you will be using. Be sure you know the correct RBG
