I am trying to resize the logo I have created..... prior to exporting, I changed the width and height to what I feel would be the size I need to be able to use this on a site within a header.... It continues to save as 362 x 234 even though I specified 280x140....
I resized it using my photo editor and the resolution is awful... the text is extremely fuzzy (especially the smaller size text) and the graphics are also fuzzy... :(
How can I get these logos to be a manageable size?
BTW... I am saving the logo as a transparent gif....

As an easy work around have you tried using the high res quarter export to see if that fits your needs? What format do you need it in?

If I save it as jpg hi res quarter, and it is fine (if I want a jpg and color the background)... but I want to save it as a transparent gif... . The only option I get with the transparent gif is to adjust the size, which I did... and it still saved as an entirely too large logo.

Of course the easiest way to compensate using the work around is setting your canvas color to that of your site. And that is the first step you would take anyway for doing a transparency.

To create a transparency, first create your logo over the same color background that you'll have on your website. You can change the logo's background color by selecting the "Set Canvas Color" under the MODIFY menu.

Create your logo, and then choose the "Custom Export" menu option (under the EXPORT menu).

Select the transparent GIF option. When you push this button, your cursor will turn into an eye dropper. Move it over your logo's background and select the background color.

When you hit the big Export button, you're logo will be saved as a transparent Gif (no white bounding box!)

I almost always use the work around method as I haven't used any patterned backgrounds.

I tried all of that... and, unfortunately, it still saves as the original (large) size... even though I have indicated a different WxH prior to saving... I guess I am just going to have to save as a jpg with a colored background...
but, one of the reasons I purchased this particular logo software was because I could save as a transparency....but, I can see that is not a reality.

maryann, want to share how you did it? I have to get out of the lazy mode...:)

First, resized all my elements... then made sure that they were all centered... then from "modify", I changed the canvas dimensions to what I wanted... and rechecked to be sure all the elements were still visible and centered...(you can use the arrow to pull it down to see all the elements) and then saved as a transparent gif....(making sure I checked the transparent background feature)
Works perfectly!!!!!!!!!!

thanks.... I figured that out too... LOL...
your tagline is sooooooo right... this stuff is addictive.... I should be cleaning, shopping, etc., but here I play... and I've only been doing logos with my own imported graphics (and even they resize).... I just LOVE this program...
