Hi again. I do realise that you guys are busy. But never the less, Im posting this again.
I don't know why, but when I export my logo in jpeg, it gets all smutty on edges where in TLC it looks fine. It seems to only happen when there are multiple colours in a item. Any way to fix this?
Secondly, I made my logo, but it was too big, how do I shrink it without loosing quality? And without shrinking just one item at a timel?
Thanks:)

Hi Nifl,
Would you mind sending me a copy of the image exported both as JPG and as PNG so I can look into it? submissions@bluejade.com
To change the size of the output, select "Custom Export" from the "Export" menu.
Set the size you want, either by dragging the lower right corner (hold down shift to maintain the dimension ratio) or by setting the canvas size from the "Modify" menu.

Hey again.
Problem solved. Basicly it was a Photoshop setting of mine that was making the "smut". Thanks for the hint of the PNG :)
Btw, any idea for what is a standard hight of a banner?
Thanks for a great software.
Nifl.

Hey Nifl.
great to hear you solved your smut problem - I'm still trying to overcome mine :)
A standard banner size is 468x60.
You can now (in version 3.0.8) set your canvas size to these measurements and add your text and elements after you set the size.
Hope that helps! :wow:

I would like to know what settings to make my canvas if I wanted it to be 4.5" X 2.5"
Thanks,

I have made my official purchase today tlc v361 - it was all going so well. My os is XP, version 2. The machine has 512 memory, 40gig partitioned hard-drive with plenty of space. Antivirus running and zone alarm.
Problem: I cannot move a piece of text, I cannot change it, I cannot do anything with it. It will not hide, it will not comply. I am really fed up I have spent the last four hours re-doing the darned logo - I have a headache and would like to know why this is a problem. A reply would be appreciated. I cannot post a topic on this as I do not have permission - If this does not get noticed, I will write to the company and request further input. Is it possible this is a bug that needs squishing?
thanks

Gipsy, is there a chance you are trying to work with an "export" instead of a "save" of your logo? If you did a save you shouldn't be experiencing any problems and should be able to edit your logo 100%

Katie, thanks for the info.
I was creating my masterpiece  - I decided that I did not like the way it looked and wanted to change it. I managed to get rid of everything else but that last piece - after 6 hours, still no luck. It has driven me crazy and I now have done what I needed to do in WORD and with Adobe - I have now uninstalled tlc. It was also hogging my system and so slow to respond.
What a waste of my money and my time :0

no offense gipsy, unless you have less then 900mhz cpu TLC should not be hogging your resources unless your canvas and object are big sized. I noticed that if I click on the object that I want to edit and hit backspace key, it would remove my object after a yes on the confirmation box.

no offence taken.
I was amazed that everything appeared in slowmo but it did. I do not know why - it just happened. My machine is quite capable of running lots of apps without stuggling normally. I am not a newbie to technology - but this baffed me. :17:
I tried smaller canvas etc, but after the six hours, I felt I had given it a fair whack. this is my last posting. I have now deleted all the sites and info. I purchased a product that just did not do what it seems that it should have, my mistake. I have now learned that I do not wish to deal with this again, I do not have six hours to spend. Adobe only took me one hour and it did everything I wanted it to - without any slowmo!! :wave

It seems to me that the logo that was made has been " grouped" and locked maybe,Also if he/she where using "pic" fonts this would take a lot of resources as TlC Renders them as a image.

Another tip:
Insure your video drivers are up to date. And make sure there are'nt any old drivers lurking around to give you problems.
It might also be a spyware problem. I reccomend Ad-Aware they have a free version for personal use.
I used to run Zone Alarm (I have since switched to Kapersky anti hacker firewall and anti virus) but discovered it clamps bandwidth try disconnecting from the internet and turn it off to see what happens.

guys, can XP sp2 have an effect on system resources or can sp2 make TLC run funny. I cannot attest to it since I only use SP1
